Our Values Ambassadors were one of our first communities and continue today to help us embed our Selfridges values. As a team they have devised ways to inspire us to live our values across every part of the business. We also have our Values Leadership Group, made up of senior managers and leaders from throughout the business, who work together to strengthen our culture and drive our values forward.
In 2015 we launched our Work It campaign which examined the shifting work-life landscape. As part of the campaign we set up our Work It Lab community, bringing together our most passionate and creative thinkers to champion and implement new ways of working across the business.
A number of our communities focus on having a positive impact on the wider community. For instance, our team of environmental Green Warriors recently took part in a beach clean on the banks of the Thames as part of our Project Ocean campaign. The team also worked on a valuable data gathering exercise for The London Zoological Society to assess the volume of plastic water bottles being discarded on London’s street, parks and on the banks of the Thames.
Our Buying Better Network is making positive waves in its work to inspire brands we work with and want to work with to embrace sustainability. Our Sustainability team has also worked with teams from across our business to educate them on how to buy responsibly, respect our environment and champion sustainable products that contribute to healthy and happy communities.
